The following specifications are designed to assist
you in acquiring a
FALLS®
Para-Lift Industrial Mount Hitch System
or its equal. Differences in manufacturing designs
are acknowledged. The dimensions within the specifications are intended
to indicate the size, type, and quality of unit desired.

Equipment
Interchange:
|
Motor grader hitch system shall
be designed to interchange with a variety of front mounted attachments
including V-type snow plows, one way and reversible snow plows,
and dozer blades.
|

Mounting
Assembly:
|
Hitch system shall be designed
to attach to the motor grader head plate by means of not less than
1-1/2" thick steel plate. Steel shall be grade A-36 or better.
Hitch shall be bolted to the motor grader head plate with minimum
grade 8 steel bolts with hardened washers.

Coupling:
|
Hitch shall be a quick coupling/uncoupling device.
Hitch shall be consist of a male and female component. The male
component shall be attached to the motor grader and the female component
shall be part of the utility attachment. Coupling mechanism shall
be engaged by driving the motor grader with the male unit into the
attachment equipped with the corresponding female unit. The coupling
mechanism shall be activated by retracting two (2) 1-1/2" diameter
locking pins. The locking pins are subsequently released into the
female receiving slots. Unit shall provide parallel lift of a minimum
24". Parallel lift arms shall be minimum 1-1/4" thick
steel

Hydraulic
Lift:
|
Hitch shall be complete with minimum
3-1/2" diameter x 24" stroke double acting cylinder providing
approxmiately 31" of hitch travel. Hydraulic cylinder shall
have a minimum 2" diameter 36 hr. salt spray chrome plated
rod. Hydraulic cylinder shall be rated to not less than twice (2X)
the working pressure of the motor grader hydraulic system.

Weight:
|
Total weight of hitch and cylinder
shall not be less than 1475 pounds. |

Paint:
|
Shall be standard Falls color. |
|
Options:
|
Hydraulic locking pins. Locking
and unlocking mechanism shall be controlled from cab by means of a
solenoid operated diverter valve allowing hydraulic oil to be diverted
from the hydraulic lift cylinder to the hydraulic locking/unlocking
device. Diverter valve shall be activated from the cab by means of
a toggle switch which shall be protected from accidental accuation. |
