The following specifications are designed to assist you in acquiring a FALLS® Modified 29" Husting Hitch or its equal. Differences in manufacturing designs are acknowledged. The dimensions within the specifications are intended to indicate the size, type, and quality of unit desired. |

Motor grader hitch system shall be designed to interchange with a variety of front mounted attachments including V-type snow plows, one way and reversible snow plows, and dozer blades. |

Mounting

Hitch system shall be designed to attach to the motor grader head plate by means of not less than 1" thick steel plate. Steel shall be grade A-36 or better. Hitch shall be bolted to the motor grader head plate with minimum grade 8 steel bolts with hardened washers. Hitch shall be a quick coupling/uncoupling device. Hitch shall be consist of a male and female component. The male component shall be attached to the motor grader and the female component shall be part of the utility attachment. Coupling mechanism shall be engaged by driving the motor grader with the male unit into the attachment equipped with the corresponding female unit. The coupling mechanism shall be activated by retracting two (2) locking pins. The locking pins are subsequently released into the female receiving slots. The lifting mechanism is attached by connecting two (2) equalizing lift chains. Unit shall provide parallel lift of a minimum 12". |

Lift

Hitch shall be complete with minimum 3-1/2" diameter x 10" stroke double acting cylinder. Hydraulic cylinder shall have a minimum 2" diameter 36 hr. salt spray chrome plated rod. Hydraulic cylinder shall be rated to not less than twice (2X) the working pressure of the motor grader hydraulic system. Hitch shall be Husting Hitch as modified for smoother lifting action by Little Falls Machine, Inc. |
