FEATURES:

• The Falls X8 Jaw Quick Coupler is a two pointed latch system which keeps the moveable components attached to the snow plow. The solid components are apart of the truck-mounted assembly. This hitch system is interchangeable with other similar jaw couplers.

The following specifications are designed to assist you in acquiring a Falls® #48B Custom Frame Hitch w/Jaw QuickCoupler or its equal. Differences in manufacturing designs are acknowledged. The dimensions within the specifications are intended to indicate the size, type, and quality of unit desired.

• Mounting Assembly: The snow plow and wing mounting system shall be Falls Heavy Duty Custom Frame Hitch #48B or equal. Snow plow connection mechanism shall be a jaw type quick coupler, with the coupler portion attached to the plow pushframe. Jaw mechanism to have rounded corners and replaceable pin retainer mechanism. Mounting system shall adapt to frame extension of truck chassis and shall not require more than 18" of mounting space as measured from the front edge of the front spring shackle. Side or cheek plates shall be maximum 17"x 31"x 1/2" thick A-36 steel or equal and shall be adequately braced to the truck chassis frame by minimum 3/4" x 4" A-36 steel bars which shall be additionally reinforced to form a "T" section. Side plates shall provide a rectangular opening to accept 7" x 5" x 3/8" wall steel tubing. The 7" dimension shall be the vertical dimension. Stabilizer arms shall be attached to the chassis frame by means of 1/2" thick steel "Z" brackets. Vertical risers and plow lifting yoke shall be low profile to allow clearance for tilting hood without tilting or disconnecting plow/wing lift hitch.
  
  
• Lift Assembly: Hydraulic plow lift cylinder shall be minimum 4" x 10" single acting type with 36 hr. salt spray chrome plated rod. Hydraulic cylinder shall be certified to a minimum of twice (2X) the working pressure of the hydraulic system.
