Moldboard and moldboard reinforcement shall be constructed of not less than 8 gauge high strength carbon steel. Front wing post or mast shall be located ahead of tandems and behind motor grader moldboard. Wing post shall be located in such a fashion as to permit full articulation of the grader in both directions with the wing in the operating or transport position. Wing post shall be positioned to provide maximum grader blade angle. Front wing post shall be constructed of T-1® steel or equal to insure flexibility and impact resistance in sub-zero conditions. Front wing mast shall incorporate a tubular slide for smooth operation. The columnar tube shall be 4140 alloy steel tubing or equal. Front post shall incorporate a chain or other such device to set the lower limit of the toe of the moldboard.
Rear mast shall have manual height adjustment providing a minimum of three (3) fixed positions.
Rear mast shall incorporate a safety chain to retain the push arm and wing in the transport position.
