. Falls Plow Earns Patent on Innovation That Boosts Safety and Performance
Little Falls Machine - designers, manufacturers and marketers of Falls plows and snow handling equipment - has been awarded a patent for an innovative feature that increases operator safety and enhances performance and ease of operation. The patent, #5,921,010, is on a unique hydraulic system that compliments Falls fixed and reversible underchassis scrapers.

"Operators already have to run their plow, keep an eye on traffic and even operate a wing," explained Little Falls Machine president Ray Schulte. "The last thing they need to do is keep an eye on a pressure gauge, too."

This patented feature lets operators keep their eye on the road; their equipment runs more efficiently and they run safer. The innovation was developed by Falls working with associates in the industry. "It's an example what can happen when quality people get together and work for the good of our entire industry," concluded Schulte.

Ordinary systems lose pressure every time they cross over an obstacle. That means the operator has to reapply pressure. In fact, some systems lose their pressure so often, the operator must constantly hold the control lever down while he drives down the road. That's not only dangerous but it also causes heat build-up that can damage the hydraulic system.
